RENTAS Straight-Through-Processing (STP)

The RENTAS Straight-Through-Processing (STP) Interface is a BNM initiative to enable transaction to be transferred online between the RENTAS MC system and bank’s host system. The primary objective is to eliminate double data entry at FI as well as to streamline the operation processes in order to achieve operation efficiency. The introduction of Bank Host Interface (BHI) module is to serve as a bridge between bank’s host system and RENTAS STP to achieve greater interface efficiency. The BHI is a ready product to ease the FI interface development to RENTAS STP. It provides the following features:-

Online real-time information screen to monitor transactions between Bank Host through STP server and BNM CHS.

• Online Cash Position for funds monitoring. Also provide projected funds position based on BNM Cheque Clearing figures and SSTS today’s value transaction input from MC RENTAS.
• In-built alert/acknowledgement mechanism such as email, notification screen and SMS. For example: insufficient funds alert notification.
• Reconciliation reports to flag out discrepancy of transaction between Bank Host, BHI and MC RENTAS.
• Corona Files and Reports for GL posting and Finance department.
• Multiple data extract mechanism i.e. via Message Queue or API.
• Flexible validation rule with configuration and parameterise
• Flexible transformation rule to transform the message to desired RENTAS STP format
