The INCHEQS CTCS-Ready Cheque Clearing System caters for the entire 4 legs of the cheque clearing processes – Outward Clearing, Inward Return, Inward Clearing, and Outward Return.

Our manufacturer from Malaysia have divided INCHEQS offering into two distinct product offerings:

  • INCHEQS Inward Clearing System (ICS)
  • INCHEQS Outward Clearing System (OCS)

 

INCHEQS Outward Clearing System (OCS)
The INCHEQS Outward Clearing System (OCS) covers the Outward Clearing and Inward Return Legs of the Cheque Clearing Process.

 

INCHEQS OCS allows for processing, managing and administering outward and inward returned cheques. It is designed in compliance to BNM’s Cheque Truncation standards and will support newer document processors such as cheque scanners and cheque deposit machines (CQM).

 

INCHEQS OCS is a web-based system which is developed using Microsoft Technology. As a web-based system, this means that there are no necessary installations required on the client workstations except for Web-browsers and cheque scanner interface for workstations responsible for capturing.

 

INCHEQS OCS also supports multiple processing models – centralized and decentralized (Hub and Spoke) models:

 

In a centralised model, the OCS is able to consolidate all data and images at the HQ Data Centre before it submits through a single CTCS Gateway Interface (GWC) to BNM CTCS Host. This reduces the number of gateways needed and provides for a single point of focus for reconciliation to the bank host. In a decentralised (Hub and Spoke) Model, the bank is able to decentralise its clearing process by enabling a dedicated branch to access the CTCS Host independently of the HQ. This may be warranted in instances where cheque volumes are better handled regionally.

 

However, this may incur additional cost in acquiring additional gateway software licenses.
